Who we share it with
- Stripe (payment processing). Stripe also has its own legal duties as a payment company and acts as a controller for some of that processing. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Our email and website service providers, [LIST PROVIDERS], who act on our instructions.
- Our accountants and advisers, and authorities such as HMRC where the law requires.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on a UK-approved safeguard, such as an adequacy regulation or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, as set out in their terms.
How long we keep it
We keep order and payment records for six years from the end of the financial year of the order, to meet tax and accounting obligations. The consent record is kept for the same period. Support emails are kept for up to two years after the matter closes, unless we need them longer for a dispute.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to receive it in a portable format, in each case where the law applies. Some rights do not apply where we must keep records by law. To use any right, email support@smallclaimscourthelp.co.uk. We will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first at support@smallclaimscourthelp.co.uk. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and reply without undue delay. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113).
Changes
We may update this notice. The version in force when you order applies to that order.
